Oakland Chinatown Line Drawings

I drew 20 line drawings of Oakland’s Chinatown storefronts as illustrative PSAs to support small businesses in this vibrant intergenerational and multi-cultural community. The design around “Oakland Chinatown" is an homage to the patterned crosswalk at 8th and 9th Streets and Webster. It‘s part of a pedestrian scramble, a traffic stop that halts vehicle traffic from all directions so people can cross regularly and diagonally. It was made in 2002 to increase pedestrian safety and the community's older population.
